With a three-year financial commitment in support of the Center, membership as an Industry Partner entitles your company to the following benefits:
With RIT’s leading industry experts and state-of-the-art technologies, Printing Industry Center Industry Partners have access to comprehensive, cutting-edge information critical to advance your company’s agenda, providing an advantage in today’s competitive marketplace. Industry Partners have priority contact with Center directors and RIT expert faculty and researchers for feedback and consultation on pertinent issues.
The Graduate Student Co-op Program offers a unique opportunity for master's level students at RIT to participate in a co-op experience at Industry Partner companies. The Center funds the salaries of graduate students from any RIT graduate program for the full-time 10-week work position. Industry partner companies receive a direct return on their support of the Center with the advanced skills and fresh perspectives of RIT graduate students in the workplace.
Industry Partner companies receive a substantial RIT tuition credit each year. The credit includes tuition for any employee of Industry Partner companies for any RIT undergraduate or graduate course—on-campus or on-line—or any of RIT’s workforce training programs and customized training solutions on a space available basis.
RIT has an incredible range of courses and programs available, and the RIT Printing Applications Laboratory (PAL) provides on-campus workforce training programs on a variety of topics related to the printing industry. PAL also specializes in the development of custom training solutions tailored to the needs of an individual company or organization. These can be delivered on-campus, on-site or at an external location.
The applied research agenda is built through an intensive collaboration between Center researchers and representatives of Industry Partner companies. At the annual Center Planning Meeting, a focused research agenda describing a number of specific research projects is presented, and Industry Partner representatives are asked for feedback in each of the proposed projects. The annual plan of work is developed from the outcome of this planning, and Industry Partners are consulted and continually updated on the progress of the research.
Findings are presented exclusively to Industry Partner companies through research monograph publications and at the annual symposium. Industry Partners have privileged access to the findings for a specified time period before they become available to the public, enabling an advantage in cutting-edge industry strategy and applications.
