A major challenge for the printing industry in the coming years will be to attract expertise from relevant academic disciplines to bring new knowledge to bear on the problems and opportunities facing the industry. The primary mission of the Printing Industry Center at RIT is to provide a portal through which academics and industry experts from disciplines across the sciences and humanities can focus their research on problems specific to the industry.
